Itinerary

Day 1: Uluru

We’ll pick you up from the Ayers Rock Airport, then head to the Cultural Centre for lunch and an insight into the flora, fauna and local Aboriginal culture of the Red Centre. After lunch, you have the chance to walk around this amazing monolith. We then head off to watch the spectacular Uluru sunset while enjoying a glass of bubbly. Then we head to our camp to enjoy a delicious meal. Later, get into your swag for a perfect view of the outback stars.

Day 2: Uluru and Kata Tjuta

An early start to watch an Uluru sunrise, afterwards, we explore the many domes of Kata Tjuta as we hike through the Valley of the Winds. We then head back to the base of Uluru for a cultural walk with your guide. After lunch we begin our drive to Kings Creek Station to camp for the night and enjoy a real outback BBQ dinner around the campfire.

Day 3: Kings Canyon

Today we take on the mighty Kings Canyon with a hike around the rim. It’s then back to Kings Creek Station where you have the option of riding on a camel, helicopter or quad bike (at own expense). We then head off to our private bush camp at Curtin Springs Station where you can enjoy sunset views of Mt Connor and your last night under the outback stars.

Day 4: Uluru

It’s a relaxed start to the day as we enjoy a cooked breakfast. We then make one last photo stop before dropping you at the airport around 10.30am.

Pickups / Departures

This Tour only operates on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

We begin picking up passengers from their accommodation in the Ayres Rock Resort at 12.30pm, and begin the tour after the last flight arrivals at the Ayers Rock Airport at 2pm. 

Customers are welcome to arrive the day earlier and stay at the resort, or they can just fly directly to the airport on the day of the tour.  Or they can start from Alice Springs at 6am.

We will need to be advised of flight details at the time of booking.


Extras

Optional Sleeping bag hire is $20, payable to the driver on the day.

Optional helicopter, camel or quad rides.

Dietary requirements can be catered for, please advise at time of booking.

Is this tour right for you?

This tour is ideal for those wishing to experience the real Outback! Long days and basic camping mean that there is an age limit of 18-49 years old on this tour. Group participation makes up a lot of this trip, so you'll be required to help with preparation of meals and cleaning up. These are the kind of tasks that bring a group closer together.

Accommodation:

A swag is a bedroll made of canvas with a mattress inside. You can put your sleeping bag inside and zip it up and have a perfect view of the stars. You may bring your own sleeping bag or sleeping bag hire is $20 per hire.

Large bottle of water (at least 3L per person), good walking shoes, hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimsuit in summer and warm clothes in winter, pillow.
